On January 6th  the Three Kings of Bethelem pageant will take place.
A procession in Renaissance costume with riders on horseback, some depicting the Three Kings, will leave Piazza Pitti at 2 pm. Crossing Ponte Vecchio they will join up with a procession of Florentine flag-throwers and musicians  in Piazza della Signoria. Both groups will walk to Piazza del Duomo where a live Nativity scene is set up on the side of the Duomo.

This same pageant was also taking place in Renaissance time as depicted n the fresco by Benozzo Gozzoli dated 1459 (at Medici Riccardi Palace)
